Hello friends and welcome! We have had quite a bit of happy mail delivered the past few weeks (Shhhh….) and have been itching to try out our new products. This gorgeous foliage set from Papertrey Ink called “Growth” was first on our list! It is absolutely perfect on a slimline card, and we are so happy with the finished project!
Focal Point:
- The plants, pots, lamp and shelves were stamped onto 80 lb. white cardstock using dye inks
- Shading was added to the images by double-stamping and also with colored pencils
- The stamped images were all cut out using the coordinating dies
Background Panel:
- 80 lb. white cardstock was stenciled using dye ink, and was then cut unto a panel using a slimline die
- All the die cut elements were laid out on the panel to get an idea of placement, and the sentiment, lamp cord and shelf brackets were all stamped directly onto the background
Card Assembly:
- The stenciled card panel was adhered to a patterned paper mat using foam tape for dimension
- The stamped & die cut elements were arranged on the card panel and were adhered with foam tape for added dimension
- The entire card panel was adhered to a 120 lb. slimline card base measuring 4”x9”
Finishing Touches:
- Glitter marker was added to the light bulb
- Some of the leaves, accents on the pots and the light bulb were coated with clear dimensional medium for some added texture and shine
We are always grateful for your visit – thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek! Stay safe out there friends!
