Dry Embossing Floral Rachel Vass Designs

Be Grateful

November 20, 2020

Hello and welcome! We are happy you stopped by.

Today’s card was created with the new Gratitude digital stamp set that is part of Rachel Vass Designs‘ November release.  We think it is a beautiful image with the versatility to work with any card theme.

Focal Point:

  • The floral image was printed on watercolor paper with a laser printer
  • The sentiment was printed onto vellum with a laser printer
  • Using Distress Ink and a water brush, the flowers were painted.
  • Once dried, the flowers and sentiment were then foiled using silver heat-activated foil and a laminator
  • The floral image was then fussy-cut and a stitched banner die was used to cut out the sentiment

Background Panel:

  • Using Distress Oxide ink and a blender brush, color was added to a piece of white cardstock
  • The ink blended panel was run through a diecut machine using a stitched rectangle die and then it was run through again using an embossing folder to add texture

Card Assembly:

  • White craft foam was adhered to the back of the card panel using liquid glue
  • The vellum sentiment banner and floral image were layered and adhered as shown in the photo with liquid glue
  • The panel was adhered to a top-folding, A2 sized card base

Finishing Touches:

  • Silver baubles of various sizes were adhered to the card panel for added shine and interest

Well, that completes our post for today.  As always, we are grateful for your visit.  We would love to hear from you, so let us know what you think if you feel up to it!  We hope that you and your loved ones are all staying safe and healthy.
