Hello crafty friends and welcome! Today is new release day at Graciellie Design and we are featuring the stunning tropical Bird of Paradise flower in the “Relax” digital stamp bundle! This unique set includes two beautiful floral images and seven relaxing sentiments. Head over to the Graciellie Design Shop to get this beautiful new set today!
Focal Point:
- The Bird of Paradise floral image and sentiment were resized using Microsoft Word and were printed on white cardstock with a laser printer
- The floral image was colored with alcohol markers and shading and shading was added with colored pencils
- The image was fussy-cut
- Two different sized circles were die cut. One from turquoise cardstock and one from yellow striped patterned paper.
- Three additional circles of each size were die cut from scrap white cardstock and were stacked and adhered on top of one another with liquid adhesive
- The colored circles were adhered on the top of the white stacked circles to create thick, dimensional die cuts
Background Panel:
- The background was stamped onto a 4 ½” x 5 ¾” kraft cardstock panel using white pigment ink, and was heat set using a heat tool
- The panel was cut down to 4” x 5 ¼” and was adhered to an A2 sized white card base
Card Assembly:
- The layered stitched circle die cuts were stacked and adhered to the kraft background panel with liquid adhesive
- The floral image was adhered on top of the die cut circles
- The sentiment was cut out using banner dies and was adhered over the circle dies as shown in the photographs
Finishing Touches:
- Glitter pen was brushed over the flower petals
- Iridescent orange sequins were adhered to the card front to form a “visual triangle”
