King of the Grill

We are sharing a card that was created with the brand new digital stamp set from Graciellie Design called “Barbeque King”. Gracie designed this set with Dads in mind, as Father’s Day is approaching fast! This set comes with 5 “Grilling” images and 9 sentiments – perfect for creating cards for all the Dads in your life!

Focal Point:

The images and sentiment were manipulated and printed with a laser printer.
The food and tongs were colored with Alcohol markers, and were fussy-cut.

Background Panel:

The patterned paper was created using the grill image from “Barbeque King”, and was printed with a laser printer.
A slimline card die was used to cut a card panel from white cardstock measuring 7 7/8” x 2 7/8”.
The three windows were cut from the card panel using the dies that were included in the slimline set.
Another panel measuring 8 ¼” x 3 3/8” was cut from white cardstock. This is the backer panel for the windows.
The backer panel was ink blended using Distress Oxide inks, with a different color showing in each window.
The windowed panel was adhered over the backer panel with foam tape for dimension.
Black splatter was added to the assembled card panel with gouache.

Card Assembly:

The colored images were adhered with foam tape inside the windows on the card panel.
The sentiment was cut into 2 strips and adhered in between the windows with additional foam tape.
The completed card panel was matted with black cardstock, and then adhered to an 8 ½” x 3 5/8” slimline card base made from Accent Opaque 120lb. white cardstock.
